”Adopt, Don’t Shop” is a universally recognized slogan among pet adopters and animal rescuers. The slogan urges those in the market for a pet to adopt one of the millions of pets in shelters rather than supporting poor conditioned puppy mills and contributing to an increasing trend in unwanted pets.
I created @Adopt_Dont_Shop for a young lady in West Palm Beach, Florida who volunteered at Big Dog Ranch Animal Rescue. The young lady wanted an outlet for posting BDR animals in need of a home and matching them up with suitable owners. I created the account’s design and subscribed the account to local adoption agency RSS feeds. Some of the accounts key followers include IAMS (@IAMS), Louisiana ASPCA (@LASPCA) and Mill Dog Rescue (@milldogrescue)
